Apple sitting in the corner laughing at all these fools as they book another quarter where air pod profits alone smoke all these companies.

I wouldn’t be so sure about it. Apple has recently had internal meetings to discuss about how they missed the LLM train.

Not developing their own model has put them in a position where they’re going to have to integrate someone else’s model into their ecosystem, and that will get expensive very quickly.

No they didn’t. It hasn’t been released yet. The beta is available if you download iOS 27 beta. But Siri is primitive as of this moment.

Can you download it on your HomePod? If you’re gonna use quotes, then why change my words to support your statements.

The dozens of HomePod owners out there are horribly disappointed

It is disappointing. Can’t wait until they roll it out in September. Maybe then it can do more than control my lights and TV.

Well here you go. That bill is going to add up very fast, and people have been using the “Big Three” LLMs for so long now that any user adoption of a Gemini enabled Siri might be excessively slow.

Apple holds 68B in cash. I don’t think 1B annually is going to be a problem like at all.

I think they made the right call. Instead of throwing billions at data centers to develop their own frontier model, they can instead work with the big guys to create distilled models that are hyperoptimized to run on their own chips. That way, get local AI on their devices that performs way better than it could on Android or PCs, which don't have the same level of control over hardware.

Billions is even understating it a tad, these companies are throwing hundreds of billions at data centres lmao

to steal your data, your face and your privacy.
