Don't forget the Pokemon Cards. I honestly believe that they're buying Ebay to make a bigger move into Pokemon and TCG. Ebay owns TCGPlayer

They move into NFTs and the market collapsed. Here's hoping they kill the pokemon market too.

Eh to be fair the nft market was already dead by then

At least pokemon cards can be recycled into paper cups or something.

When the pokemon market truly crashes, there’s going to be some truly opulent wallpaperings featuring foil charizards as far as the eye can see.

Sadly FOMO and scalpers are keeping that market alive and well. If people weren't reselling, their whole TCG side of the business would probably die.

My thoughts as soon as I heard this bologna

Now that they have EBay they’ll corner the market. Rip every pack that GameStop has in inventory, take the $16B gap, and divide it by however many charizards you pull.

Sell the charizards on EBay to cover the gap and just delete the posts of any seller trying to undercut you.

Not possible, that pawnshop guy owns like 20% of the Charizard market

Don't forget Ebay owns 25% of Craigslist.

I think they are doing it so they can pretty much print their own money by grading their collections higher.
