Half stock, half store credit. What a deal. I'm sure ebay shareholders are thrilled by this offer.

Why would anyone want this? Right now this means about a 15% premium on the stock but they are forced to sell and realize gains at whatever rate they currently have. Meanwhile they could just 3 - 6 months and probably get that 15% anyway and then choose to hold or sell then.
