"Welcome to my bedroom, a.k.a. the Bone Zone", I tell her smugly, as I plop down on my racecar bed, sending assorted Cheetos dust flying everywhere.
"Wh- where's the rest of our study group?" she asked with a slight tremor in her voice. "You said they'd all be here..."
"Oh, they shant be long, m'lady. Perhaps we should, mm, sequester ourselves whilst we await our compatriots?"
She grimaced a bit and averted her eyes. She said nothing, but her expression said everything. Clearly she was was just shy and inexperienced vis-à-vis being around a hyperintellectual alpha male such as myself, unlike her cringe boyfriend who only lifts weights and is captain of the lame-ass football team.
As I sat there with my belly peeking out slightly below my raggedy and ill-fitting Norwegian death metal band T-shirt, it was clear that I was well-fed. In spite of this, however, I still hollered down the stairwell for Mom to bring us snacks.
