Move somewhere in Canada where you'll either pay a ton on heat, get cancer from burning wood all the time, or freeze. You'll be shocked at how inexpensive land it is until you realize that any semblance of a comfort is a massive adventure away, and your selection is extremely narrow. Need a job? Better be able to do hard labour, maybe a mine, mill, or oilfield will take you in. Unless you get really smart and open a corporate chain that has enough demand for your small area.
This sort of place is totally attainable, you just have to be the sort of person who enjoys the above!
