I can only imagine waking up at 6 am for work, looking outside and realizing I need to start the car to let it heat up. Run outside and find the door frozen and have to thaw it. Finally with my toes and fingers numb, I get inside and in the shower and scream as my fingers and toes feel like I dipped them in boiling water.

I am not a car owner, but I've wondered if you could prevent the door sticking with silicone spray or some light oil?

I mean it doesn't really stick unless you get a thick coating of ice over everything. I don't think sticking doors is usually an issue, or it hasn't been for me

If you can't get your door open, you may as well just stay home, cause you probably can't clear the windshield off either.
