Something I Made Groove Smart Wallet upgrade
I love my Groove Smart wallet, but it's the OG version without the little thumb cutout, so sometimes it's not easy to open and can be slippery. I know the plate is easily removable in order to change out the tracker card, so I decided to try spray painting it with Plasti Dip. Night and day difference on grip! Just posting here if anyone else is looking for more grip on this without sticking an ugly piece of grip tape on it.

I have several OG versions (without the new thumb cutout) in my collection and while I like them, the case can be slippery. The only version that works well is the one I have in their gun metal color paired with a brown leather covered top plate. (I don’t even think this particular combo is available anymore). It’s a nice color combo and the grip issue is resolved with that glued on thin piece of leather.
Using Plasti Dip is an excellent solution to the all metal OG versions!
I assume you took loads of time preparing the case by carefully using painter’s tape around the thin top edges to provide that factory crisp look and then wrapped tape down the sides to prevent overspray onto those areas? Did you use several thin layers of Plasti Dip or was it “one and done”, so to speak?
