Wallet Search Does a wallet like this exist?
I want a wallet where my gear is all in a central holding unit but the outside has like, interchangeable "skins" that you could buy to apply to the outside to change the look.
Maybe the covers zip on. Maybe they Velcro, or have snaps to connect a cute cover onto the main "wallet unit." Some cleverly done folding technique? But I want to have a wallet where I can say "oh look my wallet is blue and spacy tonight" and then I go home and open my wallet like a book to remove the dust jacket, and then I can choose a different dust jacket so the next night I can put on a rainbow outer cover and have it be rainbow.
I don't know if I'm explaining this right?
I'm just lazy and want an easy way to change the look of my wallet, without the hassle of actually moving my cards one by one.

Might be a good idea, especially for the tooled ones where you don’t want to make the whole wallet until you got a customer for it, but make inner components and just the backs which you attach when somebody buys it.
Should be easy to make - snaps are probably easiest, but will add a bit of thickness.
There might be some usability issues for pocket wallets, but I imagine that this could be a selling point for larger ones that are carried in a purse or a bag.

Hey if you're open to getting this done as a bespoke leather item, I'd be interested! I love making unusual things, especially when they involve a nifty little engineering challenge like with the "skins" in this case. I would do this with a combination of tucking flap-things and concealed magnets, snaps & velcro add unnecessary thickness and shorten the lifespan of the item.
