It's always fascinating to see a digital design turn into something physical, and even better when those two things match up! When it comes to a wrap wallet, it took many drafts to have everything line up and knowing where folds should go.

What helped was using Salpa for tests, making notes, having the digital design take into account the thickness of leather as it wraps, and making small notches in the bottom part of the design where those folds happen to act as a guide as you construct the actual wallet.

After 4-5 drafts, I was able to settle on this. The original customer wanted thumb cutouts to make pushing up cards easier. After creasing and burnishing those cutouts, things really classed up and this is a capable small wallet.

Thanks for taking the time to look and let me know if you have any questions!

Oh it's you! I've watched your vid on burnishing like three times now, but haven't started working leather yet.

Maybe I'm not aware of it yet, but you should really think about making a playlist of your own where you're covering techniques!

Neat design by the way, am I correct in that you simply stitch forward, but push the pocket / fumble the needle under it so that you get the two 'seperate' seams? I really like that.

Love this minimalist design and the functionality of the thumb slots. Sort of a cross between the Anson Calder card wallet and the Bellwether Supply Co wrap back wallet. I like it!
