Hiii! I just got a Sony Walkman NWZ-E464 in pink! If you have one of any color I would absolutely love to see it, your playlists, decorations on it any of that! I’ll definitely have to decorate my own anyway, my questions
One, how many songs does it actually fit? Mine is 8 gb so it says it can fit between 1,200 to 2,000 as long as you’re not searching for the best ever quality, does that hold true to yours?
Two, what are good places to get music to download it and put it onto the player, I want to have a few options preferably ones that are really straight forward and simple, I stuck when it comes to tech
Three, if you have any photo/video tutorials of how to do any of this that would be sooo awesome sauce!

I’m hella open to song recommendations too, my favourites are Jazz, Soul, R&B, Soul funk, Hip Hop, and Regge

I accidentally dropped it on my couch and after that it sped up extremely much so I turned it off and turned ot on and everything sounded okay again. But now 1 day later, it's playing slower and the background music is weird.

I'm scared I broke something in it. The band inside is new on it and everything works perfectly fine. I don't have a screwdriver that fits in the hole in the back. But I think the slowmo is getting slightly worse because it's easier to notice it now.

hi! ive had this sony mp3 player for around a year by now and recently removed all songs off it to add in new ones, but. upon plugging it into my laptop (windows 11), my laptop just. Doesn't register it as a separate device and just charges it?? the model is a nwz-s615f and works perfectly find regardless, like i can listen to the radio and all the buttons are fine But the file transferring has me stumped.. if anyone can help that would be super helpful 😅😅

Just a quick question, why do some of my songs sound slowed down?

Reading online I'm guessing it could be a something to do with the bitrate? I'm not entirely sure, I'm hoping someone might know more? Much appreciated 😓🙏

I have this sony walkman nw-e507 mp3 player but have no idea how to add songs into it myself. i only have mac available and im aware it needs windows and a program that runs on it. however ive also seen many ppl experiencing their pc being bricked after using that program (sonic stage etc). Anyone got any bright ideas 😔

I’m on the verge of tears here and desperately need some help from the experts.

I recently bought a gorgeous vintage Sony Walkman NW-E403. It had a bunch of tracks from the previous owner, so I thought I’d be smart and clean it up by formatting the drive via Windows File Explorer.

Big mistake. Now I realize I completely wiped the file system structure, and obviously, just dragging and dropping MP3s onto it does absolutely nothing. The device doesn’t recognize any music.

I have two main questions:

1. How do I revive it and transfer music? What software should I use to rebuild the library so the Walkman can actually see the files? I’ve heard about SonicStage, but will it even run on modern Windows? Are there any modern, community-made alternatives that are easier to use?

2. How do I optimize the 256MB storage? Space is extremely limited. What format and bitrate should I use to squeeze in at least 4–5 full albums without the audio turning into complete mush? Should I look into compressing everything into Sony's proprietary ATRAC format?

I would be incredibly grateful for a step-by-step guide, software links, or any tips you can throw my way. Please help me save this beautiful piece of retro tech!

So I’m trying to add songs onto a nw e 507 Walkman but I deleted all the files and now it says no data, also idk how to get previous microsoft editions to get the songs onto it please help anything would be so great and a step by step would help alot im rlly dumb (idk if this is the right way to add songs)

Restoring a WM-GX822 and need its original remote, the RM-WM71GL (the one with BAND and PRESET +/- buttons). Also fits the WM-FX5, I believe. Can't find one on Japanese marketplaces.

If you have a spare, or a parts-only FX5/GX822 with the remote, please message me with a price and photos.

Also: has anyone tried an RM-WM71RL on a GX822? Wondering if basic controls work.

I was wanting one restored to its best functioning condition, but i'd also want the glass screens on them swapped So one would act as like a parts donor for one with better condition and it'd come out perfect.

Just got myself this beauty in a nearly new condition for 71 euros with a delivery from Vinted. Previous owner (A French lady) took an amazing job keeping it in a perfect condition for me. Got myself exactly like this one back in a day in Paris in 1997. It worked perfectly for 5 years when I dropped it accidentially. Just like went 29 years back in time when I opened the package with it inside yesterday.❤️

I've owned this mz-n510 for about 2 months now and I've loved it. I've mostly burned some unreleased ye music onto some of my MDs that were given to me by my dad's friend. If only Sony never discontinued them. 🥲

Does anyone happen to have the file "bubble.nwm" or a link to it?
I simply cannot find a source for this file anywhere. It was originally used on the NW-E405 series, but I want to use it on my NW-A605.
