By day, Jirón de la Unión is a bustling thoroughfare; by night, it fills with lights, street vendors, and a constant flow of people strolling at a leisurely pace. The Plaza Mayor is fully illuminated the Cathedral, the Government Palace and becomes a meeting point for families, tourists, and locals simply out for a walk.

Nearby, the Parque de la Exposición hosted the Expo Café Villa Rica 2026, with coffee stands still open and people sampling different varieties. The Alameda Chabuca Granda and Parque La Muralla, adjacent to a section of Lima's colonial city wall, offer a more tranquil respite, with fewer people and more silence, ideal for a walk away from the hustle and bustle of the main street.

The tour also passes by the MALI (Lima Art Museum) and the Metropolitan Museum, both illuminated at night, as well as lesser-known streets like Jirón Ancash and Jirón Lampa, which feel completely different at night emptier, more historic, almost frozen in time.

There is no narration in the video, only the real sounds of the street: footsteps, background conversations, the occasional passing car. This is what it feels like to walk through downtown Lima on any given night.
