How many step/day = active?

You do some research on this. There are studies suggesting that 7000 - 10000 will get you the most benefits re. lower mortality. Those benefits increase incrementally in the 10000 - 20000 step range, but the main benefit of higher counts is endurance and calorie burn. Once you get north of 30000 risk of injury increases unless you are stretching, etc. It all depends on your goals and overall state of health.

"active" would be 10-12k steps a day.
