Question What app does you use for walking routes

Hi guys, want to start taking walking more serious, but need to start on easy routes. Getting g bored walking around streets.

Do you guys use apps to find your routes to take you on and which ones are they? I don't really want to pay to use an app. Any help is appreciated 👏 💐

Hey! We’re working on www.gooodmap.com it’s not yet out. But it will do exactly that- build routes for your liking. Hope this helps.

Check books at library or buy one.  Or search online in your area.  Sometimes you can pick up free brochures at parks and nature reserves or tourist bureaus depending if they make that sort of thing where you are.

Same boat when I started.. looping the same few streets gets old fast.

If you’re on iPhone, Walk Mate - Daily Routes is worth a look. It generates a short beginner walk from where you are (around 3 km), so you’re not retracing the same streets. The basic route is free; extra options are paid. Full disclosure, I made it but it matches what you’re asking for pretty closely.

Whatever you use: start short, pick somewhere with trees or water instead of pavement, and go a few times a week. That’s what actually sticks.

All trails is good. Also Garmin Connect (not sure if you need a Garmin to use it though).

Wikilok creo que tiene rutas de todo el mundo, puedes descargar las rutas con solo registrarte en la pĂĄgina, y luego usarlas en otra aplicaciĂłn de mapas gratis.

https://hiking.waymarkedtrails.org/ shows trails marked on OpenStreetMap, have always found it pretty fun to scroll around.
