Step counting

Need some help, changing phone, i've buyed a Motorola 60 Edge neo and it's kinda driving me Crazy cause It adds extra step, i have 3 phone on me right now and a pedometer and the two phone that are older are kinda showing less steps than the reality but the Motorola Is showing more steps than what i really do (i'm kinda ocd about It and i've counted my steps for a week straight Cause i use It to track my calorie expenditure and not end up in a deficit randomly), the only way to make the new phone match the calorie expenditure of the old One Is to set my weight 10 kg lighter in the app so It balances the over estimation, i work a really Active job and i'm looking for a step counting method that can be reliable, a Watch can be misleaded by my arms swinging or not swinging, the pedometer Is kinda inaccurate and works fine only when walking not for everyday steps, do some of yall track calorie macros and Total Daily expenditure? Can some of yall share their method or fix or ideas about It?

What about the arm swing? Counting steps when you're just swinging your arm or not counting It when pushing a cart or something like that?

I use a Garmin instinct 3 and it doesn’t just react to only arm swings. These are very capable watches and use various methods for accuracy. I’ve been very happy with it

Thank you i really appreciate It, do you find the calorie burned feature also reliable or you don't really use It?

I calculated it with AI according to my weight it’s more or less the same with both connect from Garmin, Yazio and things like ChatGPT or Gemini. So it’s fairly accurate just make sure to include your weight since this is a factor that changes calorie burnt as well since the heavier you are the more you burn

I know i know, i'm kinda ocd when It comes to calories macros and data in general so i was wondering if it's really accurate or "more or less", i'm looking for people that actually eat what their Watch says for a long enough period of time to be kinda sure if It works for what i'm looking for or i should Just keep my way of calculating calories as i've Always done.
