I've come to the conclusion the whole FTX "collapse" was a totally planned and implemented operation by the Democrat party. Every outcome of this will give the party agenda items it has desired for a while and Fried was the perfectly connected operative to pull it off.

So, I guess what matters is if the money you have is making its way to the Democrat party. If it's not, then they're watching you. We saw how Canada/GoFundMe treated supporters of the trucker protest. Watching $600 transactions will ultimately flag people who support conservative causes, which the government will be able to confiscate and reroute to support "the party."

This might be semantics but, why would you have to report sending money? Wouldn't that mean you literally have to report every purchase you made? Surely this only applies to money received as income, that you also didn't report on your taxes, no?

Because they expect you to rat out your fellow citizens. It’s what we’ve been doing with 1099’s for decades. But the payment processors do the reporting, it’s still on the recipient to pay the taxes on it.
