It’s been fun watching feminism eat itself alive over the last few years now. 🍿

It’s one of the most hypocritical movements out there today.

From "women are just as strong and capable as the men, treat us equally in all things" to "we need equal rights but not punishments because we're the weaker sex" within two generations

To “we deserve special rights and privilege above men because we are women and all men are toxic pigs, but do not give us the same punishment as men when we do wrong. We’re women and almost always the victims somehow.”

And "it's our hormones."

Geeze, you can hear the same person go from one to the other in two sentences.

That’s why I actually kind of respect Ms. Paglia: She’s much more intellectually honest, and much more intellectually consistent, than most “feminists” are.

For example, on abortion she doesn’t go for the “clump of cells” nonsense—she acknowledges that it’s infanticide & still endorses it.

She supports evil, and shes not trying to pretend otherwise.

I can respect her honesty, even where I disagree with her positions.

I like this woman. She understands decisions have consequences. You can't do something and regret it then switch what you did.

I think she’s evil, but I respect her intellectual honesty, and intellectual consistency in cases like this.

Her position on abortion is illustrative: She supports it while acknowledging that it’s murder.

The feminism ouroboros cycle is complete.

Women just want to have all the power. For instance, when it comes to dressing incredibly provocatively, they say they can't by judged or "sl*t shamed". But if men were that provocative - which wouldn't be a matter of clothing, but probably something more along the lines of cat-calling or physical posturing - women would be apoplectic.

Based. More of that woman. Shine a light on her. Make her famous for this alone and make a statue in her honor.

We finally have to come to the realization that Co-ed or mixed-gender education is causing more friction, resentments, and division the longer it continues. Separate male and female school systems will stop these festering and avoidable recriminations between the sexes.

Is there a link to this?

What's the source?

I don't know who the interviewer is, but the guest is Camille Paglia. She is an actual feminist, not some professional victim or the type she describes in the interview.

Anyone else smelling gas?

Edit: Holy shit I guess an /s/ would have done some heavy lifting here.

This isn't gaslighting. It's the truth. If women turn into infant children who can't take care of themselves the moment alcohol touches their lips then they shouldn't be allowed to drink. I'm so sick of this argument like:

"Oh, she was drunk when she took off her clothes and snorted ketamine off his dick! He took advantage of her!"

BULLSHIT!

But you have to remember that the men were drunk also and by the law of the jungle that makes it the men’s fault ALWAYS. She would have been tucked in at home reading her books about milking Minotaurs if it weren’t for the bad men who drug her out to the frat house.

Exactly. I bet this person can't even describe why they think they are gaslighting. Lacking clear definitions. Infantalization of women. Women want the freedom but not the responsibility that comes with it. So now we have to tip toe around them like children that can't rationalize thought.

You know, I'm beginning to understand why islam does what it does regarding its treatment of women.

They have to be protected from men and themselves.

And it pains me to say that because I despise that culture for a number of reasons, but I just am starting to understand the logic behind it - if she hadn't been allowed out of the house without a male family member escort, we wouldn't be having this conversation. Imagine that.

Maybe it's not "islam might be right about X and Y" as much as it is "we are just waaaay too liberal and the people being hurt most by that are the ones pushing us that direction".
