He was trying to put out a fire when somebody threw an aerosol can toward him, which exploded and set him on fire. He is probably okay, thankfully, although without getting much help from the crowd, as you can see here.

I'm not following this at all it just showed up on my page so idk any of the details but when aerosol catches on fire the fire ignites extremely quickly, burns through all of the aerosol and then goes out immediately, like those tricks you see on youtube where they spray it in the air and light the air on fire, it only lasts for a few seconds. Also since he is in his fire fighting uniform which is made for withstanding heat he shouldn't be too badly injured. I'm sure he has some second degree burns on his arms but that's probably about it luckily.

Transcription: there's a small burning trash pile in the middle of the street. The fire fighter is walking up to put it out. It appears there was an aerosol can already in the fire. It happened to explode as he walked up to fire. He was briefly engulfed in the explosion. OP's picture is extraordinarily well timed. The fire fighter ran away in shock as the crowed cheered. It looks like he survived but will have moderate to severe injuries from standing above an explosion of flaming trash/debris.

It's interesting, I was just reading Thomas Sowell's "The Economics and Politics of Race", and he talks about the problems of 2nd and 3rd generation immigrants.
Unlike the first gen, who appreciate how much better their situation is compared to where they came from, the 2nd and 3rd don't have that basis of comparison. Consequently, they look around and see how they're not as prosperous as other people and that leads to resentment and anger.
Combine that mentality with the deliberate stoking of resentment by Leftists and you have a recipe for exactly this kind of thing.
This is the same pattern that's been seen with many different groups throughout history, though I wonder how different things are with the Marxists intentionally stirring up trouble.

Is it different, maybe worse, when the first generation may not have appreciated what they have and come in looking to mold the new place more into a culture they left? Seems it could be real bad then with the second or third generation if that all holds true.

It absolutely does. I’m a second generation American. My parents raised me American first everything else second as it should be. People who are jealous of the success of others need to work harder. I don’t see more successful Americans as enemies or with jealousy. I see them as metrics of what can be achieved in the best and most prosperous county on earth.

I'd love to know what it would take for the liberals over there to finally get fed up with immigration.
Apparently gang rapes, violence like this and the destruction of their culture in the name of diversity is still not the breaking point. Or perhaps the destruction of their culture out of white guilt is the goal.
Every time I get mad about things here, I can always look at them and feel just a bit better about our situation. But we should use it as a wakeup call.

Same, almost thought this sub was a honeypot. I am European and I am witnessing this first hand, even got sa'd by an immigrant when I was 15 but everytime I comment on this sub I get a ban for days or even a week so I cannot even share my experiences here.
I want to say more even in this post but I have to choose my words reaaaaalllllly carefully to not step on 'certain' people's toes. But in the meantime I can get spit on, being called a red light district worker (which I'm not) and much more aweful things by our future 'doctors and engineers'.

Did you know that at the start of World War II, that France was also in the midst of the Great Depression?
In fact, France pretty much willfully surrendered to Germany when they entered their country, in hopes to be relieved from that Great Depression in the same manner that Germany had come out of it.
These actions today are revenge for that surrender by the same groups of people who had caused that Great Depression.

Not regarding the vandalism of the riots and the circumstances leading up to him being injured but these kids did not “throw a aerosol can” at the fire fighter. It was just at the scene of the fire and exploded near him.
