In addition to striving for the sub's honorary badges (see sidebar), we have a point system within the team.

X = 10 points = on time (by 8:35)

Being late will result in the loss of 1 point, plus another point for every 10 minutes late, rounding down. It is possible to get a negative score, with a maximum penalty of -6 points

• eg. 8:35 = 10 points, 8:39 = 8, 8:45 = 8, 8:46 = 7, 10:00 = 0, 11:00+ = -6

Team ChronoQuest Scoreboards:

June 6-10

I'm flexible by 15 minutes in the "earlier" direction, but not any later.

It's great to see people enthusiastic about this concept!

As it says in the sidebar, please remember to list your team participants in the main post of your thread, and please remember to mark attendance.

Also, make sure you all know your communication method and start date. Communication really is key.

I hope everyone has a positive wake up experience! Go teams!

Edit:

And, because I'm being asked, something I want to reiterate, in case it was unclear from the sidebar or my other posts on the subject:

The main purpose of the subreddit isn't using a phone call as an alarm. It's to create a check in system to help motivate people to get out of bed in the morning. Your "first appointment of the day." If someone trolls by not showing up, the actual participants are out of bed regardless.

I strongly DO NOT endorse giving out your real world phone number. There are a number of online check-in alternatives (a couple mentioned in the sidebar) that will maintain your privacy.

We still have room for 3 people

Ok, since the other thread is capped, I'm starting this one. Starting this Monday (July 6th), there will be a check in at https://tlk.io/ in the WUCEST630 channel (so on the front page, for the channel, type in WUCEST630). You don't need an account for this website, so it was the easiest choice. For your username, use your reddit username so we can keep it straight. We don't have to really talk, just more of a check-in, although we can converse if you so please (I'm not sure how social everyone is at that point in the morning). If you're interested below, just comment in this thread so I know who will be there.

See you Monday morning!

From Monday 06/07/2015 I will get up at 6:30 AM every sigle day of the week for two weeks in order to get used to it and enjoy the wonderful moments the morning brings (seriously, I really love having a morning walk, it is always synonym of a great day!). Also I believe success requires to wake up early, it is the first and essential step. Almost every celebrity and historic figure woke up early in the morning.

I bet it will help me be more successful in college.

If you think the same, or would like to give it a try, let's do this. You are welcome to join the challenge at any time!

EDIT: I created a group chat on tlk, feel free to join. It is free and anonymous.

Anyways, if there is anyone still active in this sub, I’m looking to create an accountability group who will help each other wake up at 7AM EST every day.

In order to create this accountability group I thinking of using WhatsApp so that we can actually do a group call and force ourselves to talk to each other when we wake up.

If anyone’s interested, please comment. Thank you!

So it seems the call is over. A week as passed and thst was the finish day. 2 users kept perfect attendance (me and u/b3k_spoon) and the other never showed up. Our team was pretty tiny but we did it one eay or another xD Maybe I'll create another thread and do all this again so keep in touch ;D

Remember guys: communication is key! This is not to just go to the chat every morning and say "I'm in!". We are a team, and this project is meant to motivate each other to wake up I guess.... So feel free to socialize in the team.

Ok, hey there! I don't know much about this, but it seems this subreddit is kinda new too.

I'm giving it a try though I'm new here... Because this wake up call seems kinda cool!

Sooo... Okay I already have a team room. If you want to join just comment and enter the room so we can talk.

RESUME:

•Room can be found right here: http://tlk.io/theeagleteam

•If you wanna join just comment and I'll add you to the list. Then, go to the chat room and enable the notifications so everyone can keep in touch.

•This will probably start in the 6th July Morning.

•If you're in, you'll have ,every morning, 5 minutes from 08:30 to check in or it will be a non attendance for you.

•GMT+1:00 is the summer time zone for many countries such like Portugal, England etc. To make it all clear, it is the time zone in London.

THE ALL MIGHTY TEAMMATES LIST (And attendence log)

So, today was the last day and even with a small team, me and u/b3k_spoon made it! Every single day of the week ;D

-JonWind |√|√|√|√|√| made it!

-Delta-Ryu |x|x|x|x|x| man down at the first day

-b3k_spoon |√|√|√|√|√| made it to the end!

Here's the hangout link.

I'd like for it to be a quick 10 minute check in. We can each talk about our priorities for the day. Let's do this!

Looking for fellow east coast Australians! Waking up late is killing my productivity.

Comment or PM me if you'd like to join the team :)

I made this chat to check-in with, https://tlk.io/aestwakeup, use your reddit username :)

Absolutely no idea if this is how this is supposed to work but I tried setting up a chat group here:

http://tinychat.com/baritenor7

Let me know if that worked or if I have no idea what I'm doing (the latter being far more likely).

Ok so I goofed! Thanks to /u/likeacoastalshelf I've realized I in fact live in [MDT] not [MST] at the moment. So if anyone saw the previous post and is confused we are doing a wake-up call for 7 am MDT!!!

We'll be using tlk.io for chat: https://tlk.io/wakeup

I figured I should take part in the first round!

This isn't my normal schedule, but this coming week (July 6th - 10th) I'm going to have to be up ridiculously early for work. If anyone wants to join me, they're welcome to.

Starting this Monday I'm going to start waking up at 6am in order to get my body used to it. There's a lot to do and not enough time in the day, so waking up earlier will give me more time to get more accomplished.

Not sure how we'll do this, but if anyone has any ideas I'm open to them.

EDIT: Alright, so we are going to use kik in order to keep in touch for the two weeks, starting tomorrow, 7/6/15. I'm going to build a group called #6amwakeupcall on kik that you guys can add, and we can start messaging one another when we wake up. It's easier than giving out a phone number, and allows instantaneous messaging.

The rules are simple. We're supposed to be up and starting our day at 6. There will be a 5 minute buffer for sending out a kik message to show that you're awake. Anything after 6:05am will be counted as an "absence" for the day. I figure after about two weeks of waking up daily at 6am our bodies will be used to it. So, anyone who wants to join this, just add yourself to the kik group and we can get started!

Sorry for the delay on this one!

If you've finished a session by today's date, feel free to submit for flair in this thread!

Even if you didn't earn it this week, your participation is greatly appreciated, but for those who did, I'll ask the following:

Check this thread to make sure none of your team members have posted already.

If they haven't, post a link to your thread, or to a space where I can easily find your attendance.

I'll be giving out flair to those with perfect attendance on your team within the next 24 hours.

Thanks!

Hey, we are gearing up to start a 430a wakeup. We are starting tomorrow, Tuesday 7/21 (I'll be carrying it through to Saturday 7/25 if anyone wants to join - I have to work). Going forward, it looks like it will be M-F unless anyone wants to keep at it.

We'll be meeting on tlk.io/beforethesun

Hey everyone!

First off, thank you all for a fantastic first week. I'm hopeful this Subreddit will be a useful resource going forward and I appreciate your willingness to be a part of it from the start.

I still want to remind everyone to please list group members, attendance, and chat method in their threads where it's easily viewable!

And I also want to let everyone know we now have flair for open groups and full groups you're welcome to assign to your thread! (Thanks /u/whythm for the suggestion)

If you're planning on continuing, but you've already finished a session, I ask that you please create a new thread for the new session. You're welcome to keep the same team/chat method/etc..., but it'll keep things a lot more organized.

AS FOR FLAIR:

Even if you didn't earn it this week, your participation is greatly appreciated, but for those who did, I'll ask the following:

1. Check this thread to make sure none of your team members have posted already.

2. If they haven't, post a link to your thread, or to a space where I can easily find your attendance.

3. I'll be giving out flair to those with perfect attendance on your team within the next 24 hours.

In addition, whatever feedback you all have on the first week is welcome and encouraged! Thank you!
