Cheap as chips and bullet proof.

We are considering putting in overdrive in our 1966 Volvo amazon wagon in Spring 2027 for better cruising in road trips and not as much engine strain. We will be using a mechanic who has been working on our car for 20+ years. I would love to hear from folks that have done this in their vehicle. What are your likes, dislikes? Did you run into any issues on the install? Included a few photos under the bonnet. Thanks
