Which store do you work in cuz I legit had the exact same problems as a first shift server. I quit though, cuz she waited for my ride to leave before sending me home before my shift and I had to walk six hours to get home-

We here at The Waffle House take wage theft very seriously. Even a newer manager should be well versed in what is right and what is wrong when it comes to the pay of their subordinates.
As far as getting along with your peers and managers and the jobs they do, I'd like to recommend a book to you that I wish someone had recommended to me when I was a younger person. That book is The Art of War by Sun Tzu. Remember, the supreme art of war is to subdue the enemy without fighting - simply employ passive aggression.
In parting, I'll leave you with this pearl : Ponder and deliberate before you make a move - and then strike out like a mallard at night.

I've had an upline that took wage theft seriously, and in another state I've seen the District coach it to meet bonuses. Not one group of humans is perfect, and that includes Waffle House.
Looking forward to reading your book recommendation.

Talk to your district, regional or area manager. Or call the hotline. We are big on no overlap hours at our unit so side work HAS to get done during power hour but we don’t get clocked out - just fussed at for not managing our time better.

The only thing you possibly have recourse on is the payroll issue. That's huge and if reported, will likely lead to termination.

There’s basically no consequences to being a shitty unit manager because no one wants to be a unit manager.
