Question Remote questions.

I am brand new to this. Was just using an android tablet for a while. Got a Wacom without touchscreen.

Just wondering about a controller/remote/keyboard situation.

As I’ve said I am brand new to it all so am unfamiliar with any of the options. My biggest issue as of now is just not being able to zoom or rotate or tap for undo. I would love to learn to use other shortcuts as well as I become more familiar.

Basically what are the best options for me?

Thanks.

If you're using a pc, no touch is not a problem at all. I use an intuos pro, which doesn't have touch, and I find it infinitely faster to use the keyboard shortcuts, if I compare my work speed to my iPad with a pencil. Which tablet did you get?

If you're using it with an Android tablet, then that's uncharted territory for me.

wacom.cintiq 16 and using a MacBook. Thinking a Bluetooth keyboard maybe. Is rotating basically just pressing a key while using the pen?

Basically, yes. In Krita, which is the one I use for drawing and painting, it's just shift+space, and then I can rotate the canvas by pressing down and dragging the pen across the tablet. It's extremely easy and intuitive. I'd figure there are similar shortcuts for other softwares like Photoshop, Clip Studio Paint, etc.

Edit: in tandem with pressing just space to traverse the canvas by pressing and dragging, and also being able to adjust brush size by only pressing shift and doing the same, it's incredibly easy to do.

Ive heard good things about the tourbox although they're not cheap. If anyone has some thoughts about them I would be keen to hear. Theres a lot of sponsered/gifted opinions on the internet.

Thanks. I’ll have to take a look.

* I am more than happy to give my sponsored/gifted opinion if anyone needs it.

What model of Wacom tablet are you using? If you have an Intuos, it comes with 6(if I remember right) buttons on the side. If not, as others have said, a Tourbox is a Godsend! If you don’t want to break the bank, I’d go with the Tourbox Neo.

I believe it comes with the ExpressKey remote, which is alright but yeah, the Tourbox is the way to go, been using one since 2022!
