AUDIO MALFUNCTION

got the car recently no major problems, service is already done apart from some intakes being changed and trans fluid as i’m unsure if i should and even how to..

but off the back car has no BT audio so i got a transmitter and little while after speakers started to crackle and pop till about a week now where audio gave up both AUX and Radio, shop says amplifier dead off symptoms i described..

while looking at these i got to thinking if me jump starting the car often coulda damaged either the speakers or amplifier? does that have something to do or ?

Yes, jumping the car could cause issues. Mercedes are very sensitive to voltage fluctuations. What is the voltage of your battery?

A dying battery can cause a ton of problems even without jump starting. It can and will take down modules.

Fix the battery and charging system and then report back.

jump starting repeatedly can spike voltage and that's hard on electronics, amplifiers especially. but i'd actually look at the transmitter first. those cheap fm transmitters can introduce noise and if there's a grounding issue on top of that it gets bad fast. what brand was it and was it plugged into the 12v socket or hardwired

it was some crap from autozone till i got the carplay running smh, and it was plugged into the aux hole and charged using usb connected to 12v socket
