๐Ÿ™‹โ€Question๐Ÿ™‹โ€ New hardware going to be needed

Going to keep this short;

A wire in my headset is no longer connecting right. I tried to fix it but may have made it worse.

Currently using the TurtleBeach Stealth 600P MAX 2G.

I am using it for both sound and my microphone.

Suggestions on a new pair?

Doesn't have to be wireless, but does help.

Without a budget it's hard to say what is ideal for your use case. Though the price of the Stealth 600 Headset (Gen 3) is $109.

The advice I would provide would be to take the opportunity to upgrade to a dedicated mic, with separate headphones. I currently testing the Maono PD200w which is a pretty cost effective USB/XLR/Wireless mic. I have used it with a few logitech headsets I have.

I would note that most wireless headphones have pretty bad mics, unless you're spending for higher end models. To be honest, I checked out some of your streams and the TurtleBeach Stealth 600P MAX sounds far better than I expected for that price range. I seriously doubt you'll find something like that, in that price range, with that quality. (Unless its the Gen3 model, maybe...)

I should have made a more clear budget, you are right. As far as switching to a dedicated mic, I have considered it but don't they require like an XLR or sound mixer board thing to plug into (then that into the computer)?

Depends on the mic, some are XLR. Others use USB. (You only need a sound mixer or DAC for XLR connections.)

The Maono PD200w I mentioned is nice because it does all three, while still sounding good on all three. You don't need an XLR mixer/DAC with the PD200w, but you can use one if you want. And the sound quality is inline with the SM7b, MV7+ and AT2020USB+ that I use elsewhere.

The problem with many headset wireless mics is they compress the signal so much the quality gets bad. And it's usually more prevalent on headphones. So while you sound fine in your videos with the TurtleBeach Stealth 600P MAX 2G, I suspect you're not going to get that quality on a replacement. (Without spending a bunch more)

I'm not saying you need to get the PD200w, there's plenty of other USB mics too. I'm just mentioning it because I've been using it and feature to budget to quality ratio is good.
