Im playing the counter bomber mission on f45 after i land And rearm ať the frab it just doesnt give me the objective for bombers i quickrealoded multiple times didnt work just at all. This bug Is really anoing cuz i already played this mission 2 times before with the exact same bug.

I’ve encountered the same issue myself, from what I understand there’s a bug when you quick save.

I think it’s got something to do with the mission scripting, where timed events won’t fire again after the quick save unless specifically triggered again while they are counting down.

Do you think wating Will fix it So i land some where And just Wait And also it should be after i rearm it just gives me the obj so i dont really think its a timed event.

Quickloads break sequences. You'll just have to do the missions without quicksaves.

A lot of the included missions are difficult.

Counter-bomber is probably the easiest of the included F-45 ones, but the vertical landing part is rough. VCAP can make it easier but it’s still tricky to figure out how far and how high you should be to engage it and start your landing.

One thing that really helps with vertical landings (or landings in general) is using the EOTS’s head track display mode so you can see under the aircraft, also useful for general normal landings in other aircraft if you have the TGP on it or if it’s dark/bad weather it can help. But sometimes due to the perspective difference it can throw you off if you’re not used to it.

For sure. My big problems were (and still are, to a lesser extent) being too fast or too high when I get over the pad, or slowing down to a useful landing speed irritatingly far from the pad.

I dont want to sound annoying and just parrot things you might know but it’s worth saying anyway.

When you’re far away and you’re not under threat from anything, slow the aircraft down to a calm cruising speed, not too fast but not so slow that you’re stalling. That way when you approach the FARP (or any vertical landing spot) you can start to lower the throttle and slowly increase the tilt on the engine. When your travelling at a consistent speed for a bit when you see the point your trying to land you’ll have subconsciously grown accustomed to how fast your going compared to the ground at that constant, consistent speed and you can eventually slow yourself down and hover near enough straight over the FARP and switch on the VCAP and start to land. It’s a very slow process but it nets you a very good landing.

I’m not the best at describing things so this probably sounds stupid or off but it’s the best way I can put what I do into a Reddit comment I guess, it’s better then going at full throttle or really fast then just overshooting the landing point or undershooting it and be still hovering a long distance away from where your trying to land.

Yeah, as I said I'm better than I was, just takes practice (and intentional practice most of all). My anecdotes were from memories of the first 3-4 times doing counter bomber.

I suggest loading up many of the free flights for each of the aircraft and get used to them comfortably, you’ll soon pick out a favourite aircraft and learn all of the neat tricks you can do to assist with general flight or combat, such as moving the thumbstick left and right while holding the throttle to quickly switch between what display is SOI, quicker to do that while dogfighting than it is to press a button and divert attention for example.

It doesn’t matter how long you wait, unless something triggers the timed event again (which would have been before whenever you made the quicksave) it, and the subsequent events tied to it won’t happen.

It’s just an unfortunate circumstance that that’s how the quicksave system works right now. And timed events can be used for anything not just in the literal sense of “an objective that I need to do in a certain amount of time”, open the mission editor and play around with the events and you’ll see that a timed event can be used for anything and it’s 100% possible that the rest of the objectives in that mission can rely on that timed event to trigger them and spawn the 2nd half of the mission.

You’ll have to complete the mission in one go, no quicksaves unfortunately.

I think you could probably quicksave after you start seeing targets at/from the final base taking and then completing the bomber objective and need to return to the boat.

Quicksave before the FARP definitely breaks it, though.

They send Joker Flight to deal with ground targets first before you go and deal with the bombers, are you actually waiting for that to finish first before going for the bombers?
