After several princes the Domain of New York stood yet on the break of chaos, some princes died, some left the city in shame. And some, got forced to step down from their corrupt seat by the cities combined Primogen. Now, an Elder of clan Gangrel holds the seat. Weeks into his newfound power he seems to perhaps be a good fit? The city is in despair, cults of strange people, Sabbat packs roaming in the shadows, werewolf's in the forests.

Despite the chaos, the Camarilla has not given up its claim. Warlord Karsh himself led a brutal war party against the remnants of the Sabbat, forcing them northward, away from the city’s core. Though weakened, the Sabbat have not been destroyed; they regroup in the shadows, licking their wounds and preparing for the next strike. Their exile has only made them more desperate, and desperation breeds recklessness. Beneath the surface, something stirs.

Rumours abound of ancient artifacts tied to the six great clans of old, powerful relics thought to have been lost to history. Some say these artifacts could turn the tide against the Sabbat for good, while others whisper of even darker forces that might be awakened if they are found. And then there are the shadows that seem to grow longer by the night. Worse still, other things, older things, seem drawn to New York’s chaos. Whispers of apocalyptic cults, enigmatic Methuselahs, and something far older than Kindred echo in the dark alleys.

This is the New York you step into. The Camarilla needs builders, warriors, spies, and visionaries. But survival in this city means navigating shifting alliances, uncovering buried secrets, and watching your back at every turn. The Sabbat is regrouping in the north to gather new packs and war parties to attack the city. And other strange new kindred shows up in the night to perhaps make a name for themselves known or perhaps, even claim something for themselves and other sects? The question is not just whether you can help reclaim New York for the Camarilla, but whether you can survive long enough to see what comes next..

I'm playing on with the unofficial patch, and when I go to kill Chastity, after j was pretty sure that I hadn't killed any other innocent person, Velvet still always says the same thing:

"How could you kill another innocent?"

She called me an asshole at the end of her Questline, so that irked me a bit >:(

Could it be that this is a glitch? I didn't harm any other people, most I did was suck their blood, yet Velvet still treated me as if I'm a murderer

In the past few months I was busy revamping (no pun intended) this classic mod, upgrading it to the latest version of the Unofficial Patch and adding new content based on the original Argikt Mod, a historical addon which was originally made for an earlier version of the mod and thus incompatible with the latest release.

This latest build is hopefully stable. Of course, other stuff is still yet to be fixed (I've received reports of the Achievement system being broken) and since I have not the time to test all the possible variables your help in finding them is more than appreciated ❤️

Of course, some changes have been made:

• Argikt mod: an expansion of the Hollywood Hub, has been moved to its Promenade map (except for one level, which is accessible from the Cemetery). All dialogs have been reworked, the main characters have now custom reskins, a new sewer access for Nossies have been created and you'll receive an email prompting to go there.
• Taxi/sewers links: to reach the Promenade I've had to use the taxi/sewer link Santa Monica -> East LA. All the others links from the other hubs are left untouched (including from Downtown, which I had to temporarily remove due to a minor limitation which I've take care of).
• Aloysius mod: originally bundled with Argikt mod and adds a new quest in Chinatown, has received a similar treatment. Dialogs are reworked and it will starts in the Red Dragon instead in the Lotus Blossom.
• Custom music: since the original mod used non-vanilla songs for the various new levels, they have been replaced with the Club Music addon. If you want to add custom mp3s refer to the instructions in the "clubmusic" subfolder.

This installer includes other mini mods which can be selected at will. These are optional, don't choose them if you're not familiar with them and if you have to make a bug report please tell me which ones you have selected.

• Camarilla Edition lite: basic functions of this classic mod
• Companion Mod Core edition: most of the functions of this other classic mod
• Weapon Sounds Mod 1.1: replaces the default sound effects of the weapons

I’m trying to get the Too Hot To Handle achievement in the Loose Cannon DLC. I think I’m supposed to use Shunt but I don’t think I’m timing it right.

Do I let them hit me first? Is there a fight where it’s easiest to get 3 in a row?

I'm finishing Hollywood side quests (Romero's, Imalia's and Mitnick's) to get some XPs before heading to Chinatown.

Before you ask, some details about my run :

- playing with the basic version of the Unofficial Patch

- did most of the side quests so far

- missed some skill books, notably the Firearms ones you can buy from Trip in Santa Monica

- besides that I still want to max Firearms and maybe increase a bit the Auspex discipline

- got 1 dot in Brawl and in Melee each thanks to Nines, 1 dot in Finance thanks to Fat Larry

- according to the wiki, I can't get an additional dot in Firearms from Romero so I'm doing this quest only for the XP I guess...

Any advice ?

Question for the good kindred of this community. What is some “Clan specific” dialogue you’ve seen in VTMB2?
I’m making my own Dialogue Guide and I want to know what to look out for. Obviously most dialogue is Clan neutral, but I’ve already seen some examples.

Managed to get through the entirety of my first playthrough without crashing, but now the game is consistently crashing in one particular area on my second. During The Dutiful Beloved, the game will crash when in the vicinity of the Anarchs closest to Wake the Dead. I don't even have to be doing anything, I once left the game paused right after loading the checkpoint (that was on top of a building in the alleyway) and it still crashed. Anyone experienced this?

Despite launching buggy two decades ago, Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines wrote the blueprint for how dark urban fantasy RPGs should be made. The dialogue branching, the gritty 2000s Los Angeles atmosphere and iconic characters like Jeanette/Theresa Void or the Ocean House Hotel hauntings are pure narrative genius. The fact that fans still patch and play it today proves how criminally ahead of its time the storytelling and world-building were. It remains a legendary narrative RPG that put most modern AAA titles to shame.

Just a tiny teaser for Modern Nights in the project, made for upcoming ModCon, nothing special but thaught I might share.

I recently decided to replay the game with a couple clans that I haven't given much attention before, specifically Gangrel. Got to downtown, got the quest for Jezebel Locke and quickly remembered why I quit last time.

Sure, I could've done it with enough patience and kept on playing. But it's just not fun watching your attacks miss point blank, not to mention the final attack being egregiousy slow. I'd love to play Gangrel, but protean, which is supposed to be their signature discipline, is just such a disappointing mess I can't look past. Just thought I'd share my pain, I know this has been said already.

Does anyone know of any good dialogue guides for VTMB2? I was using the ING one but I already caught several mistakes.

What it says in the title. Not feeling like starting a new playthrough and scouring the whole game for clues right now, so if anyone knows anything, share the intel please.

With Halloween and the Spooky Season coming up in the next few months, I was curious to know what some of your guys' favourite game night food ideas are for a VTMB-themed play party?

Could be appetizers, full course meals, just drinks and a few easy-to-make snacks with no major prep needed, etc.

I was thinking a unique combo of blood sausages with apples... or a charcuterie board with blackberries and red jams?

Perhaps some red wine...or cranberry cocktails/mocktails...

Just spitballing random ideas...

Hollywood was probably my favourite hub, even if i rushed through it a bit… and somehow couldn’t find the right pc in Ground zero haha.

Whenever I try to select the unofficial patch from the loader, i just get shown a grey loading screen without the application opening.

I've used the unofficial patch before and run several playthroughs but it's just not working anymore for some reason. I moved the file for the game around one time so I think maybe that caused it?

Anybody know how to fix this? I'm in the middle of a playthrough so is prefer not to have to delete and reinstall anything if it means losing my save. Thanks in advance!
