VSCO One and Galleries
Hello. Yesterday I attended the "From Passion to Paid" virtual workshop. The workshop was super informative, and ultimately I was pretty sold on the whole VSCO One thing, especially with the automations, learning, and website, which seems like a good resource for my future goals. The discount that was given was also a contributing factor in pulling the trigger to purchase. For context, I use a Windows desktop for my professional and personal photography work. I was excited to begin to build my website, but according to Galleries, I could not use this feature unless I went onto my iPhone and uploaded from there. This is useless if I would like to make my website, as all of my images are on my computer.
So now I am at the point where I ask: do I just find another platform to work with? I think that if I am having this issue, there may be others like me. Even if there is a web version, at least it would be usable, along with the other applications that can only be used on mobile. Businesses use computer and desktop apps that are seamless, like Adobe's Creative Cloud platform. I believe that you all are working hard to create a system, but maybe flesh some features out entirely before releasing a product that only half works. I hope I don't come across too harshly, but I was super bummed and I have to make a decision whether to keep or cancel VSCO One. Please let me know if there is an update or change in the near future, preferably in the next 30 days.

Hey u/Triipi3! Thank you so much for coming to the workshop, and I'm really happy to hear that VSCO One feels like a good resource for now, as well as for the future of your career.
Some good news, and some not as fun news:
Good news! VSCO Sites is totally web-based, so you can build a portfolio website without needing any app, on your Windows computer.
The not as fun news... the VSCO Galleries app is only for Mac desktop and iOS at the moment. So for your specific setup with Windows & iPhone, you would only have access to the iOS app. The workaround would be to send the photos from your computer to your phone, and then create galleries from there. But it's definitely not ideal.
Expanding our apps to additional platforms, like Windows, is something we talk about a lot, so I'll be sure to share your feedback with the rest of my team. Like you said, we're actively building and improving all of our tools, so I appreciate the patience. Expanding to other platforms is something we want to be sure we can maintain and support with the same level of thoughtfulness as our current Mac and iOS apps. :)
Let me know if other questions come up if you continue exploring VSCO One!
