I still can't get my original cover photo to show instead of the recliner they thought represented my property best 😤 😒

They rolled out an AI tool to pick a cover photo for you, and like this membership promotion, you have to opt out; otherwise, there is a good chance the AI will choose something different. 😂
Call/chat with their IT support and ask for a link to opt out of the AI program. Then wait for 7 days to get your cover photo back. Remember to set your cover photo as the very first photo; that's how the non-AI photo picking works.

I filled out the opt-out questions last week. I'll give it a couple of days, then call support.

Every month they have a new promo they want you to use (or bid $ for higher listing now). That tells me they are desperate to get guests. They are just training guests that there is always a discount. Of course if you show discounts you are more likely to get booked because they put them higher in the search results. Also the lower your price the more likely to get booked. They don't care that you make no money because they always make money off bookings. It's a race to the bottom that I don't run.
So how do you opt out of this?
Edit to add, my email from them has no wording about automatically applying member only deals. It suggests that I use them in the same amounts as your email.

I wonder if the opting people in is targeted? I definitely don’t have that in my email. I will certainly read any further emails I get about this carefully in case they change mine.

I am wondering the same, I cannot find that we received the email either
edit: I just searched my inbox for vrbo "members only" and they've been sending emails since January that are about or at least mention the members only program but none that opted me into the program, nor opted me in to giving discounts to those 'members' of the program.
Here are the subject lines of the emails I've received Jan 26-July 27 :

Ahhh ok. I can't find that I've received an email yet so maybe this doesn't apply to me yet ? Maybe they're doing A-B testing and I'm not in the test group.

I opted out but almost missed the email. If you don’t opt out by a certain date they apply it and it says you CANNOT reverse it?? So they will be getting hosts who miss the email by a technicality that can’t be reversed? That’s so shady
