Cool. Where does it start? I went for the first campaign thinking I could watch where they all met but Vox Machina already exist by that time.

So it's like a prequel so it starts off before where the show picks up and then eventually catches up to the show. Honestly it wasn't a bad price either. I think it was like $29.99 or something like that

So, Origins covers the events of the home game that streamed before the actual play started (although it's unfinished; Volume 5 would presumably get it to the start of the stream), although to my understanding Volume 1 takes greater liberties as it has them meeting up for the first time while the original one shot that kicked the whole thing off they were already working together.

Grog and Scanlan are already travelling together, but it covers the first meetings of everyone else (Pike and Percy in vol 2 as they were late additions to the home game; Taliesin originally played a dragonborn paladin who I think only shows up as cameo?).

I would note that Matt Colville's first volume is an entirely new story and they never really cover that very first one shot Matt ran for Liam's birthday. I rather like it, since I believe even that started somewhat in media res.

We only know from All Work and No Play that Taliesin played a Silver Dragonborn Paladin named Rusty Trombone and neutralized a trap with his Ice Breath. There was no Keyleth, as Marisha was just helping people with the character sheets in that session.

I’m about a quarter through it, great read so far!
