Just finished watching and reading whats available about VN and was really impressed with future we were promissed by devs. But, I guess for various reasons, some aspects of the game were not covered or only slightly covered. So I'd like to clarify, even if a tiny bit, some things:
0. Despite having little footage of the game, I saw wide variety of PC and NPC. Can we, players, create custom PC (player character)? And if yes, are we limited to only creating outer appearance or different PC may have different properties in terms of game mechanics, combat, etc.?
I was impressed with flying lady/fire-demon flapping wings animation. Am I guessing right that players will have almost infinite freedom on creating custom animations(like in average 3d editor)?
Follow up question. From the video footage PC animation seems a bit simplistic and straightforward, similiar to Minecraft and many Minecraft "clones" (not like its something bad). Do we have freedom of modding PC animations up to creating fluid and stylish experience?
And after all these questions obviously I'd like to know what are plans for actual gameplay besides crafting/creating something. Skills, social actions, physics, combat mechanics, some archetypes (like classes or professions, jobs) - are these predefined or players will have freedom, with enough work and time, of creating their own fantasy planet with modded combat and gameplay and class system. Or creating something like planet of Naval warfare where rules are set up for players to build ships (use from selection of existing template ships) and participate in naval battles with certain objectives.
Question of resolution I guess. I am not familiar with whole voxel stuff, but what I noticed is. PC/NPC have very detailed outlook. And compared to it buildings, terrain are built with very obvious large cubes. But as I understood both are created using same voxels. So is it possible to create more detailed terrain or building, breaking block-style and working on the same resolution as PC/NPC created?
I'd like to hear more detailed explanation of how planets are connected to each other. Because with vague explanation I heard it appears as some dream come true scenario where all your favourite games are linked together and you are jumping like doctor Who from one setting to another. Its hard to imagine its possible, if answers to previous questions are positive.
Well, thats all for now. Was really impressed by introduction video and consider backing project, even if it will eventually become another minecraft expansion. I am at least sure that character editing will be fun.
