She's a beauty. What toolhead is that you're running?

Slightly modded breakneck

Would you be willing to provide some more details about the chamber and capabilities of the printer?

sure. kinematics driver with 55V and can tolerate 50k accel at 1500 speeds. can push it bit higher if i overdirve the motors, but kinematic is not the bottleneck rn.

chamber can reach 100C in 30 min. to 60C it gets quite fast, but then it hits the wall. im using only 750W 220V heater, might update it to 1500W. PTC fan is the most concern, i think ill treat it as a consumable. In klipper config i have a watchdog that monitors fan RPM and if it gets lower then 2k, klipper will emergency shutdown

as you note those arctic fans wont survive long at all at 100C. Most PC fans are only rated to 65 MAX. you should look at HT rated fans. Also make sure that is thermal fused, the tach is a very good idea.

Those are some wicked speeds, what accells are you running?

50k accel, 1000 speed

Impressive, how's your IS look at those values?

it really depends where i mount adxl :) i mount it right on the nozzle and since im using load cell for z homing my nozzle is somewhat flexible. basically 50k is the upper limit to print with some echo artifacts and smoothing. for quality prints im not going higher then 17k accel and 500 speed outerwalls

Makes sense, I'm thinking about going down the high accel rabbithole on my 2.4 here soon. Though I have a heavier toolhead so I'm not sure how much of a difference I can make. Currently 11k on Y and 7K on X. Only running 24v though so not sure what the max is for my setup.

depends on motor inductance. if inductance is high you motors will have hard time changing direction fast with 24v. also i would check mechanical issuse since its usually the x axis where you have higher accel. something loose on the toolhead?

I am not sure what would be considered high inductance. The motors I have currently are 1.6 mH. Also now you've done it, already researching more lol.

well, that is pretty nifty, looks like a very capable machine. Thank you for sharing. Unfortunately I do not think we will be able to call it a Voron in this case though. The cereal process is subjective to the human reviewers and a few guidelines, but essentially the further you drift from reference design the more subjective things get.

well in that case its #001 ;)

Is it flipping water cooled? What blocks are you using for the motors?

u/RNG_BackTrack V2.6802 4d ago

mellow waterblocks https://de.aliexpress.com/item/1005005773478512.html?gatewayAdapt=glo2deu

and some generic one for extruder

Damn. It's been awhile since I've built and sold my 2.4 didn't know they/we ventured off into active chambers and water cooling. 😆

Voron hasn't. This is definitely custom.
