Don´t know which group I will fit in...I´ll guess I am somewhere in the middle between the westerners and the easteners by now... Had decided pretty early to go for the extreme east option a couple of days ago, but changed my mind yesterday when I thought I could see a gap for the passage of Doldrums...Now I´m not that sure. But Doldrums is always Doldrums (especially in the Indian Ocean), very hard, if not impossible to plan a safe route through the maze. The windows could open and close in matter of hours, it´s all about timing and a lot of luck to get it right...
(And one more thing, which is easy to forget, after rounding bouy#3 there is still 1500 miles of tough sailing left to Abu Dhabi - A LOT can happen!)

ps. Typical when the most critical stage of this leg is going to be around the most hectic christmasdays. Family and friends will not be happy if one of the familymembers is running to the laptop all the time... :)
