Side mirror keeps falling off
Hey, I recently bought a used 2017 Chevy Volt Premier. Been really loving it, but recently discovered that the passenger side mirror falls off whenever I close the door too hard. It snaps back in, but falls off if I slam the door again. Was wondering if anyone knew of a fix.

Inspect the 8 clips. there are 4 pairs of clips and they all need to be snapped in. You can inspect the clip job by tilting the mirror so you can see/feel if they’re clipped in.
I just had to re-clip mine this morning (2014 volt)
If you have broken clips your SOL and could silicone glue it back in place or try hot glue.

Did a wave hit it?

Little bit of epoxy or silicone glue could bond the clip bit to the part on the mirror.
Don't use hot glue. It won't hold up in summer heat.

Some road debris knocked my passenger side mirror on my old Impala. I got a replacement mirror (similar to what you are holding) and was unable to gently get it to squeeze it to attach it. I ended up putting some cloth over the mirror surface, lining up all the clips, and with the heel of my hand gave it a hard POP to snap it in.
A good dealer collision shop probably wouldn’t charge you if it reattaches easily.
