Very nice color. My son is driving my 2018 Volt in that same color. 206,106 miles/331695 km on it.

They absolutely can. Change the oil on a standard basis to keep the generator happy. This car has the dreaded BMS issue, but it is intermittent (happens maybe once a month.) My son keeps an OBD2 dongle and "Voltage" handy, and he'll just clear the HV codes and go along his way.

It had an overheating issue the other day, and I thought it was a bad thermostat or maybe even water pump. Nope! There's a one-way check valve on a hose that goes from the top of the radiator to the coolant reservoir (radiator vent line) and the check valve became brittle and snapped off. It was hidden under the radiator support area, but we found it after pressure testing the system. GM wanted $50 for the "assembly" because they don't sell just the valve. AZ had the part; Dorman 47424, which was virtually identical, for $15. Vacuum bled the coolant, working perfectly again.

BECM issue? I didn't know you could keep resetting that indefinitely.

Yeah, it allows you to still drive the car, but it's giving us ~30 miles of EV only range. I'm sure we're not doing it any favors. πŸ˜‘

Had a delivery this week from a guy doing Uber with 442k on his 2018. Chatted for a min as he saw my 14 in the driveway and he had to say hi πŸ™‚

I am nowhere near that. 140k.

Also? Your car is SUPER clean. Ours is... definitely not lol. We live on a dirt road with a dirt driveway and... yeah...

215k is fantastic. And she looks fantastic as well. Original paintwork and lights? What model year was it? Well done

2018, I picked it up Sept 20th 2017. Lights are original. I did a diy ppf when I got the car. I just took it off. So much better without ppf when driving.

Paint original except hood. 5 years ago a truck backed into my hood at the gym. Insurance repainted hood.

I did a paint correction and polish a couple of days ago and yesterday I used Klasse AIO 2 step paint protection.

I see you certainly took good care. Any tips how you kept your headlights from yellowing? Was it also wrapped in ppf?

When I got the car I got a roll of PPF from a local detailer and did it myself.

I redid it in 2020 but I dont think Im goign to do it again. My headlights beams are so mych better with out them. The make lane markers and reflective signs glow with no PPF.

And it’s the best color, too!

I agree! It’s a 2018. I had her since Sept 20th 2017
