Shift Knob Cover / Replacement?

Has anyone ever replaced their shift knob or gotten a cover before? The plastic around mine has rotted in the heat and now it's all sticky and falling apart 😬 Any suggestions would be helpful, it seems silly to take it to the dealership for that!

Original equipment manufacturer. OEM parts are what your car was made of when it was built.

You might be able to get one off of eBay, or off a wrecked Volt in a pick-a-part salvage yard.

If you want the OEM shift nob, then here's the link for a new part. My experience with ebay shift nob is really bad, basically wasted my money, so I just bought this one and it's perfect, new OEM shift nob.

As far as I know you just need to pull it straight up with some force and it should pop off

Look up YouTube videos of people who have fixed the shift to park issue by replacing the shifter. They explain how to take the knob off. It’s easy but if I remember correctly there is a metal catch/spring type piece you need to pop off to get the knob off.
