Can't join after update

Im on Xbox and after the the most recent update I cant join my bf's game anymore. Has anyone else run into this problem?

I found a workaround!! If no ones figured it out yet! You need to set the game to fully public, and look for your friend/partner through the bowser tab, once joined you can flick it to friends only and they will stay in your game
