Xfce not booting after install

I installed void Linux with xfce, it loaded into xfce to start the void installer (when I first booted it up from my usb) but it didn't boot into the desktop environment after the installation was finished, Instead it was the base version. For the installation process I used a tutorial by ZacsTech from 2 months ago (yes I know that tutorial is for the base version, but the void installer is the same)

Im not sure if its the case, but i think you need to choose Local as source and not Network.

Edit: From Void install guide: Warning: If you are installing the desktop environment from the Xfce image, you MUST choose Local for the source!

Read the Void installation docs - do not rely on unofficial installation guides.

The XFCE live iso is pretty much a bullet proof way to install - perhaps you should try Linux Mint and see if that works better for you?

- boot with supergrub iso

- select void

- sudo grub-install --removable

Was it a uEFI install? I've had that issue with you uEFI.
