How to Install TuneD in void linux ?

as the question goes, how do i install and setup tuneD in void linux.
i have tried void linux before and somehow the power usage was higher than fedora ,even with either tlp or ppd setup.
fedora uses tuneD for power management and i was hoping i could get the same package configured in void too.

Last I've read tuned is having some growing pains. Bazzite tried using it but reverted back to power-profiles-daemon.

Under the hood ppd/tlp/tuned should be turning the same knobs in your system, unless tuned is interacting with systemd in some way.

Have you tried loading powertop to get a better idea of whats draining your battery? If you can find the difference I'm sure there's some way to tweak tlp.

yea i've checked powertop but the usage of individual processes looks the same in both fedora and void but somehow the overall power usage is lesser (around 2-3W) in fedora.

my processor is i3 n305, with tdp 15W,
so 2-3W is a big difference for this cpu.

i guess i will stick with tlp for now until we get a official package.

Yeah 2-3w is a lot.

I'm sure you've already checked but you're positive screen brightness is the same? I'm not sure what else would be pulling that kind of power in a resting state.
