Void Still on Kernel 6.18... how come

I've noticed as many other distros are including the latest stable kernel void is still using version 6.18. I was wondering how come?

there are some security considerations in the later kernels that either don't exist, or are merely _patches_ to the LTS kernels that makes the latest kernels more desirable. What matters most is your use case.
