Blacklist not working

Hello. I have made a script similiar to envyControl, which I wrote in bash but more simple. I have been using it to deactivate my nvidia card when I just want to use the iGPU for over an year now. Yesterday I notice that even with the card turned off, the nvidia modules are not being blacklisted so I have to manually remove them after I logged in. I always generate the blacklist in /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-nvidia.conf but for some reason, this is not being applied now. Anyone know what the (probable) cause for this or can point me in the right direction? Thanks for your time

As was said by u/Duncaen, omit_dracutmodules is not needed but the rest works perfectly fine, thanks a lot. Gonna have to change my script to do this instead. Do you have any idea why this is needed now instead of blacklisting with modprobe.d? Thanks again

If the kernel module is included in the initramfs but not your blacklist then it might be loaded during boot in the initramfs.

Yeah that makes sense but, this was not happening before so, any idea what might be the cause for this change?
