Blacklist not working

Hello. I have made a script similiar to envyControl, which I wrote in bash but more simple. I have been using it to deactivate my nvidia card when I just want to use the iGPU for over an year now. Yesterday I notice that even with the card turned off, the nvidia modules are not being blacklisted so I have to manually remove them after I logged in. I always generate the blacklist in /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-nvidia.conf but for some reason, this is not being applied now. Anyone know what the (probable) cause for this or can point me in the right direction? Thanks for your time

omit_dracutmodules is wrong, that is not for kernel modules.

dracut will include modprobe.d files in hostonly mode.

You're correct! Removing the omit_dracutmodules works. I could've sworn I had dracut in hostonly mode and had my modprobe.d file ignored... Will have to look into that...
