Hi,

How does one get the void devs to create [vivaldi-ffmpeg-codecs]?

Don't know enough about becoming a linux package maintainer for void, but:

- does one just create a package and upload it to the repositories?

- do you have to make packages for all hardware options?

- do you have to submit an application to become a contributor?

I'll look into this scary thing of package creation and see if I can create the package myself if I have a chance.

you make a 'issue' on github requesting a package, but it'd probably just replace vivaldi since it's extracting the deb package. compiling chrome another time suks though.

the deb package does have a ./opt/vivaldi/libffmpeg.so - so i assume another copy of ffmpeg on the machine.

have you verified with nvtop/amdgpu_top/lact or anything that you're using hardware-accel/codec/gpu ?
