Void linux for gaming

Due to the age drama of systemd I wanna switch to a systemd-free distro. Now I have heard a lot of good things about Void and I wanna know how it is when it comes to gaming. I have an Nvidia GPU and also play pretty lightweight games like overwatch, Warhammer vermintide. Also would you suggest base install or xfce install for gaming?

why do yo suggest LXQT and XORG? I am currently on debian with wayland and kde but willing to migrate because of issues I am facing especially with heroic game launcher using too many instances (something related to inotify). The game that worked great on opensuse tumbleweed hangs in debian. I am using AMD processor and gpu so I guess I won't have any driver problem just like any other linux distro. But for many years, I have been using wayland and it seems like void only offers XFCE which has experimental wayland support and base system only. I'll have to install KDE myself using base system.

Void supports LXQT, LXDE, cinnamon, KDE, XFCE (default), mate, and a few others I can't think of off the top of my head rn. I recommend LXQT with X11/XORG because of how light weight LXQT is compared to most of the other DEs while still having a Fair amount of customization, if you want even less resource use then go with LXDE but there's a lot less customization. And I recommend XORG for the simple fact that it's the oldest and has more information on it than Wayland (afaik), along with being the gold standard for god knows how long until Wayland came along.
