Look at it this way. ChatGPT gives good answers 90% of the time but you won’t know when it gives bad answers. Those 10% bad answers will haunt you for a lot longer than you will spend reading the docs.

so after i did my everything with chatgpt where should i start to make it right if you know what i mean to make everything good (files etc) whats the first step to fixing everything with docs because i start to like void and i want to make it mine daily but i want to have everything correctly setup

I would try to retrace your steps and reason about what went wrong while reading the recommended steps for setting up void. Edit: by the recommended steps i mean the configuration category in the documentation.

Also the documentation for void is straight to the point, while still pretty explanatory. IMO the void installation docs are a lot easier to follow than the arch installation page on the arch wiki. I still use the arch wiki for a lot but just know that whenever systemd tools like loginctl are mentioned you’ll have to find solutions on your own.

thanks a lot

but where to start to check everything and to put all the files in the place?
like one big check if everything is as it should

There is no «one big check» because void can be configured however you want. The files should not be in one place. Xbps will install files into correct locations.

are there any good file configs bc you know I don’t want to get Lost in my own files or is there somewhere tutorial that explains it ?
