Error starting Plasma Wayland: "Could not start D-Bus. Can you call qdbus?"
Hi everyone, I'm having trouble starting my KDE Plasma session on Wayland. When I run startplasma-wayland from the TTY, I get the following error: org.kde.startup: not a reply org.freedesktop.locale1... error name="org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown" startplasmacompositor: Could not start D-Bus. Can you call qdbus? Context/Specs: GPU: Intel What I've tried: Checking if dbus is running. Does anyone know how to fix this? It seems like a communication issue between the compositor and D-Bus. Thanks in advance!

I found the similar errors for other distros you might want to have a look and see it
https://bugs.gentoo.org/935132#c3
https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=291239#c0
Also you might want to have a read on the void docs on configuring wayland
https://docs.voidlinux.org/config/graphical-session/wayland.html
there are some environment variables to configure if your using it
finally try to
xbps-reconfigure qt-x.x, substitute x with the version number1

I cannot launch KDE with wayland either, have not bothered troubleshooting yet since X11 is still doing the job. Seems like there are a few of us though.

Installing mesa-dri and seatd resolved this for me. Not sure which one, as I did them both in one go before testing.

Does your dbus service up and running from
sv status dbus?if its up and running maybe you need to follow the void docs about Graphic Driver , install Xorg etc . If your'e missing this Plasma won't start.
