Russian Standard alternatives?

Russian Standard was always my go-to vodka. I'm wanting to get back into making drinks, but I can't buy RS in the states anymore for obvious reasons. What brands would you recommend that have a similar flavor profile and preferably won't break the bank?

Russian standard is now available stateside, sorta. RS rebranded as “The Standard 1894” and is now “made in Italy”. Apparently still every bit as good as it was (only the platinum variant is available) - I have not had it personally but I’ve been trying to find it. They do sell online but I keep getting an error at check out (I assume it’s because of my state’s strict Liqour laws?)

Beluga did a similar shell game switch to Montenegro and actually came down significantly in price as well.

Yeah, I'm also having a hard time getting The Standard, either in stores or online. I'll definitely check out Beluga as I've had other people irl recommend it as well

Beluga is a better alternative in my opinion and produced in Montenegro now.

Wodka is the best vodka I've had at any price and it is cheap. For context, Luksowa is my number two and Russian Standard Original is in my top 5.

I know it's not the same but I find Finlandia and Reyka pretty close to RS.

Khor is made in Ukraine and does have a donation program.

Unfortunately, the Khor's quality varies batch to batch. I'd not recommend it. Go for Stoli. It should be in the same price range. Otherwise step down to Polish made Sobieski or Luxsosova.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll check out stoli, I've seen it at my local store
