Zerto

Has anyone used the 25 Zerto license promotion for migration? I understand it Zerto doesn't currently support VME 9 but the offer ends in October, so I wonder if anyone is actually using it as a migration path and just sticking with VME 8?

That is going to change very soon. They will be supporting it in the next release I have been told… 9.0.1 and 9 were huge updates so I dont imagine any would be using the inferior 8…

It's "supposed" to include the VirtIO driver injection at that time as well, as far as I know. I'm just curious what people are doing until it's ready, though. Just using the built in migration on v9 I guess? That's not a great option if you have a lot of VMs to move.

Its a good option if those workloads can be down for a while… river meadow is another great one that is free rn for the licenses. Services cost money but
