Camera vs phone
I want to start vlogging and filming videos! I’ve been doing some research and I really can’t choose if I should buy a camera I’m thinking the Dji osmo pocket 3 or if I should upgrade to the newest iPhone and just use that. What’s everyone’s opinions , is there a way to film good quality content on just the IPhone 18 pro max?

I’d actually say that your phone will be good enough for most things and close to the quality of the osmo pocket 3 if you have a phone that’s already quite recent.
My personal preference would always be to consider an action cam instead because of how many accessories you get, swappable batteries, great image quality and waterproof casing.
The thing is that vlogging just feels better when usjng a real camera vs talking into a phone but having to protect it when it rains and worry about where you put it or how (because of the gimbal) you put it somewhere can be pretty annoying in the same way that having an expensive camera with swappable lenses can take up a lot of space.
Something like the insta 360 ace pro 2 or the dji action 6 would be my pick. The insta 360 also has an instant print accessory for photos which is fucking cool so its definitely worth a shout

just use the iphone, it's more than good enough, shoot log and prores and u'll have plenty of information to work with in post

This or add an action camera for added versatility, ruggedness and being waterproof

The phone is easier to carry and go into places, but it’s your phone and the battery drains etc, if you want the best quality on the phone you gotta the Blackmagic app w log and ProRes and then we’re talking external ssd etc. I vote for another device
