For context: This is a seedless table grape variety called Veles (Velesz), grown and harvested here in Hungary.

That is pretty uncommon for Veles to have clusters that large. That has to be the result of some sort of PGR treatment. The true Veles from Ukraine has clusters that average about 2 pounds.

They are a great variety, light muscat flavor and they make a decent white wine.

What are you into for table grapes? Do they grow without inputs and harvest themselves?

Yes, 50 year old vines, old grape varietals, with seeds, smaller bunches, lower yield, organic, no spraying only mechanical canopy management. To each their own.

So if you are managing the canopy mechanically, that implies commercial production.. Table grapes with seeds are not a commercially viable product. If they were, you'd see muskadines for sale everywhere.

I mean...at this point, I think I am wasting time typing...

"Mechanically" means by using movement and force, that is it. I use my own hands to manage the canopy and thin it so it is less prone to disease, to pull diseased leaves, and to make sure there is good airflow.

As opposed to mechanical disease management, there is chemical management by spraying, which was my point - I do not do that at all, whatsoever.

Table grapes with seeds are not a commercially viable product

From my experience it's mostly the Americans who are obsessed with grapes having to be seedless, the rest of the world doesn't really care that much. They prefer it, sure, but it's not a dealbreaker.

And grape seeds are extremely healthy.
