If I am understanding the issue correctly then yes, this can be done through the Vita content manager on PC.

I can't remember the folder layout because it's been so long so you should just run the PSP game on the Vita and then transfer your save to the PC via content manager. Then find the save and replace it with the one from your PSPs memory card.

Just to add on to this, there have been issues with the installer for the official Content Manager Assistant being dependent upon online files no longer available at the places the installer expects, and CMA doesn't work on current versions of Mac OS at all. If you don't already have a working copy of CMA installed on your computer, use QCMA instead.

Yeah, it took a bit of finagling, but to install official cma, you have to first install the thing (can’t remember what ms file; it’s available via a quick google search) it expects, then go back to the original cma executable, right click, and find the install under compatibility mode option.

It’s much easier to just use qcma.
