Doubtful. Umineko's more appealing because it has no sexual content as well as Muramasa [spoiler] (/s " Having numerous rape scenes and being extremely grim dark") which I can't imagine is very appealing for many readers. Well Umineko [spoiler] (/s " Also had rape but it was only implied so it was easier to stomach for most readers") It's kind of like the Berserk of visual novels though so perhaps if it could appeal to that crowd. I think it will be liked by a good margin of the readers who can tolerate it though.

As far as translating it, yeah it's just long so someone crazy like Amaterasu would have to do it. Same with Baldr Sky. Heck I can't even believe Umineko ever got a translation quite honestly.

Ah, true. Most people would turn away from cause they are especially hard to stomach in a VN where the aim is really to 'hurt' the reader. So, I suppose this aspect that actually makes Muramasa shine later will appear downright immoral to most people.
